I came from a very early flight from Adelaide and navigated the trains and walk from the station arriving with my luggage at the motel at 12:30 instead of 2 o'clock and I asked if there was somewhere I could sit until booking in time. The guy on the desk was very helpful and said the room was ready so I was able to go in early which made a huge difference in being able to rest and get ready for the event that I had come to Brunswick for later in the evening. I was pretty tired from the flight and getting out from the airport so I was very appreciative to be able to go to my room a bit earlier. Although Parkville is clearly what I would call Vintage Retro, the staff maintain a good level of cleanliness and most importantly quality bedding and comfortable pillows. My husband is coming to Melbourne in the next few weeks and depending on where his meetings are I've recommended that he stay there too based on price and comfort. As a single female traveller I am always aware of safety and appreciated the internal chain on the door and I also tried out a tip that I had seen on TikTok in relation to placing the chair under the door handle which was a perfect fit! The second part was more for interest sake as I certainly didn't feel under siege but I'm always interested in women's safety as that's the area I work in.

I am very happy with the Parkville motel, Brunswick.I found the staff are very friendly and helpful at each visit. I have stayed with them 4 times in the past few months and will continue to do so. It is clean, quiet,comfortable and very convenient with or without my car at a reasonable rate. Eating places, shops and frequent public transport is nearby. We stayed here on a recent road trip to Melbourne and it was a great find. Perfect if you have a car — easy parking, close to the city and public transport. Well priced, very friendly staff, and a super smooth check-in and check-out process. It’s a family-run small business, which really shows in the care and service. So glad we found this place and we’ll definitely be back.

We are two young people who stayed there this week and this place is such good value for money. The rooms are tidy, well kept and I LOVED the vintage style. It is retro, but I think that's the charm of it. I'd be so disappointed if it was renovated and boring. Yuck. The outdoor of the motel is beautiful - new paint but with some colour and style, well kept gardens and the staff on reception were kind and attentive. You can tell this is a lovely family business! Great if you have a car and so close to the city! Tram is right outside. We will be back!
